Every Life is a Story: Memoir Writing. You have a story to tell. Learn how to craft a memoir that shares a compelling and engaging story about the life you know best: your own. Leave a legacy for your friends and family, or consider publishing your work so others may be inspired by your adventures and insights.
An Introduction to Novel Writing: Learn the craft of creating a compelling narrative while exploring character development, pacing, plot, and how to hook your reader. If you’ve ever wondered if you had what it takes to write a great novel, this course will answer that question with an enthusiastic yes!
Photography for Beginners: Everybody has a camera, and we all take a lot of photos. Learn how to see the world as a photographer does in this course geared to enthusiastic beginners. How to get the most out of your camera, the rules of good composition, the magic of bending and capturing light, pre-visualization and post-processing and editing are all included.
Travel Photography for Beginners: As we cross the globe to see and understand the world we live in, be sure to go beyond point-and-shoot photos to capture the essence of your journey. In addition to the photographic basics, delve into architectural photography, photographing people, cultural sensitivity, street photography and wildlife photography.

Presentations
Be inspired. What started on a stage in the Lake Louise campground has become one of Stephen’s great passions: presenting to audiences about writing, photography and conservation. If you’re looking to inspire an audience and deepen their connection to a cause or place, or merely want a group to learn more about the Canadian Rockies, contact Stephen regarding a presentation.
Stephen has presented keynote addresses on a wide variety of conservation and political-related topics, on avoiding, managing and recovering from burnout, and on the human relationship with wild places.
